#13: When Positive Thinking is Not the Answer
WARNING - This episode contains a total rant and is an example of me doing some basic self care BEFORE getting into the real processing and healing phase.
I had a difficult morning on Tuesday but was able to get myself out of my funk and still do my work. My boyfriend and other friends have asked me before how I am often able to go from upset to happy again in a short amount of time, which I was able to do today, so I wanted to share my process with you.
Please also understand that I was showing you how I do my self care in upsetting situations as it was happening. In editing this episode, I started getting feelings of self doubt, worry that you might judge me or dislike me after listening to this episode.
And knowing that I have a lot to work on when it comes to my ego rearing its (I won't say ugly) attitude-y head. I didn't get a chance to go into that very much in this episode.
Overall, I felt like I was being honest in my process and in showing that I'm human just like you are and have an ego just like you do. So I ended up using one of the strategies mentioned in this episode (Don't worry, there's value in here too! Not just ranting, I promise!) to get over those feelings of self doubt too.
I hope you enjoy and can relate to this episode. Either way, I'd love to hear your thoughts in the Facebook group. You can check it out at facebook.com/groups/LYcommunity.
If you want to just skip the rant and get to the tips, please skip ahead to 28:40. I will never know, nor will I ever mind. My goal is still to provide value with every single episode, and no matter what you get out of this, whether you like what I'm saying or you hate it, I hope it helps to catapult you towards your future self!
With so much love and gratitude,
