Aggghh, so much is happening in the background here that I'm dying to tell you guys about. (Sorry, I don't mean to tease!) I'm excited about the changes that will be happening and am so glad that two of my favorite humans will be with me (Melo and my brother). The depression finally feels like it's lifting.

The last few months have been really hard. I was spiraling deep into "What the fuck am I even doing with my life? Where am I going? And where are we even living???"

For those who have known me a while, you know that I travel and move around quite a bit. But I always knew where I was going.

At least location-wise, lol.

The last few months at home have been nothing short of heaven, but Melo and I moved home knowing that it was temporary. There was always a nagging uncertainty of where we were going to end up.

But we got some news, and I unfortunately can't say too much yet, but we are moving! We are going to have a somewhat permanent residence for at least a year (maybe even two). And finally, that dark cloud that's been hanging out with me feels a little lighter.

This whole time at home, I've been trying to get my health insurance sorted out so that I could get into therapy. I knew I needed help. But because it's the beginning of the year and I use Covered California, I had to switch health insurances, which has taken FOR-EH-VER. And now that we're moving, I have to sort it out all over again.

Two nights ago, I was scrolling through social media (yes, tsk tsk) and an ad for an app called "betterhelp" came up. It offers unlimited text/phone/video counseling for a flat (affordable) fee every month. I was intrigued and filled out the application form. They even gave me financial aid!

And I'm excited to say that I paid the monthly fee for the first month yesterday.

I'm so excited for this. I'm excited to get help.

I'm excited that even though I've been feeling better, I know that this therapist (Sharlese) can really help me sort through all the head crap that's been flying around.

I'm excited for a change in scenery.

I'm excited for this new chapter in my life.

I'm excited that I have two of my favorite guys in my corner who will be experiencing this new chapter with me.

I know as a coach, it's hard to get help.

We think we have to know it all because what kind of a coach would we be if we didn't? But you know what? I know that by going to therapy, I can be an EVEN BETTER coach.

And even if you're not a coach, therapy helps you to just feel better about yourself in general. (Side note: Shop around for a therapist that fits you!)

And feeling better about yourself is self love and without truly loving yourself, you’ll never reach that imaginary finish line that you’ve set up for yourself. Law of Attraction says that feeling bad about yourself will only attract more things into your life that trigger the same bad feelings.

It’s about feeling good about yourself that you can finally feel GOOD and live the life that you most want to live.

If you're in a place where you need help, especially if you're a coach, know that there is all kinds of help out there available to you. I encourage you to be open to receiving it.

I don't usually scroll through social media at night (only Pinterest ;P), but I did that night. And what caught my eye wasn't even all the stuff I saw on my feed. It was this ad. I can't even tell you what the picture for the ad was - I just saw the words and I was curious. And I went with it.

Thank you, Universe.

With love,
